Rec 2(屍控)

Introduction:

What’s going on in that department? Many people think that maybe it’s an infection of flu so they don’t care much about it. Only the people in that building know how terrible the truth is and no body can survive. All of these horrible things seem to be related to the religion miseries.

Opinion:

This movie is extremely disgusting and scary. Just like other zombie movies, zombies in this movie eat people and those who are bite will become like them. However, the root of this infection is not from the toxin of official military or some scientific research, instead; it’s with religion. Many people may see religion a way to comfort people, but there are still some religions create secret organization to compete each other. As far as religion, we should believe but not to be superstitious.

Daybreakers(血世紀)

Introduction:

In 2019, there will be a serious epidemic which makes lots of human become vampires. Because of so many vampires, the rest of human are hunted to supply them blood. Edward, a scientist who is refused to drink blood tries to search a substitution for true blood. And after he finds it out, he is chasing by both human and vampires, because his decision will influence these two species’ existences.

Opinion:

This movie is not what I expected, however; it may be possible. I think there could be a disaster to make people sick or dead but it’s not possible for us to become vampires. In the movie they are lack of blood, thus; maybe in reality the blood could be seen food. Because of over population, it’s probably happens in the future.

Shutter(鬼影)

Introduction:

The young photographer and his girlfriend bumped into a person with car after having fun with their friends; however, they escaped instead of checking if that woman was hurt. After that accident, the photographer found that many of his work seemed to be covered by people or some strange lights. He checked those broke pictures and discovered that the images were the same. And he felt that his neck was very uncomfortable since then. In addition, his friends were dead one after another. Thus, he started to investigate these unusual things and tried to find out the truth.

Opinion:

When a person believes that there are really some nature phenomenons that cannot be explained. Sometimes, when you come across things that you normally don’t meet before, it means you have to be conscious of your self. No one will be hurt by supernatural power without any reason. This movie also carries a moral teaching that we should never do bad things or we will get torture at any time.

The Orphanage(靈異孤兒院)

Introduction:

It’s a Spanish scary movie but it talks about the adventure for a mother who is finding her lost son. Lola and her husband move to an orphanage which is very old and is abandoned for a long time. Everything goes smoothly in the beginning but after Simon tells his parents that he has five invisible friends, strange things happen one after another. Eventually, Simon is missing one day, Lola figures out that there must be something wrong. She wants to find out the truth and save her son.

Opinion:
After seeing the name of this movie, perhaps many people will think that it’s a scary and horrible movie. On the contrary, its scary elements are few; instead, it talks about how a brave mom finds her son and fight against the inner fear in her heart. Will you dare to challenge the nature power especially it has been a painful memory in your heart? Maybe many people will say no, however, when it happens to you and it might hurt your beloved one, you will turn out to be a fearless warrior although you don’t know what it could be.

Papa, Can You Hear Me Sing?(撘錯車)

Introduction:

I watched this movie in Freshman Chinese class. It was produced in 1983 and its background was in Taipei city. The old mute solider makes his meet by picking up recycle garbage and selling them. Although he is very poor, he takes the girl orphan and raises her up. However, when his daughter grows up and becomes a famous star, she starts to look down her father and neighbors. On the other hand, the place they live is illegal and it is going to be tearing down. The changing between traditional society and modern society is also one of the main points in the movie.

Opinion:

How can a poor man breed a baby himself? The answer is that he can’t, instead, he needs lots of help from his kind neighbors. How can an old illegal village survive through the changing of society? The answer is that it cannot, what’s worse; it will be clean up in the end. A-Mei breaks up with her boyfriend, her father and neighbors because she is attracted by the game of chasing money and she loses her mind. In the end, she earns lots of money but she loses the most important thing that is her father. Moreover, we can see how Taiwanese society changes in that era. When facing the new mansions and skyscrapers, what old villages can do to avoid being demolished? Those feelings we cannot understand though talking, so just go to watch it and make yourself touched.

The Wave(惡魔教室)

Introduction:

The movie is based on the novel whose story was real and happened at a high school in California. Rainer Wenger, a P.E class teacher, he was set a task to teach totalitarianism. However, students don’t consider fascism as nothing. Thus, in order to persuade the students, Rainer decides to carry an informal experiment. He plays the role of captin of fascism, and students have to follow what he says. They make rules such as that they should wear uniform and get permission before they want to make speech in class. At the very beginning, everything goes on expected; however, the experiment starts to go into wild.

Opinion:

I watched this movie on Freshman Chinese class. Originally I thought it was boring and stupid, nevertheless, I was attracted by it totally and I even search the information about it on the Internet after school. In the movie I see how powerful a group is. For example, the students in the movie they create their slogan and sign in order to be distinguished from others. First, they only do small things together and protect those people in their group. However, because their members are more and more, they become much braver and they start to do something dangerous. In addition, they dislike people who are not involved with them or who cannot agree with their behaviors. I think this is a quite common phenomenon in the society even in school. People usually not dare to do things that they won’t do normally, but when they gather together, they are easily to lose their mind and do dangerous things which might hurt others and also threaten to themselves. To our sorrow, the ending was very bad because there was a student dead and the teacher was caught into prison. Yet again, the power makes people forget the good side of theri hearts.

The Crazies(屍心瘋)

Introduction:
An unsophisticated town, Ogden Marsh in Iowa, suddenly is polluted by a kind of toxin which makes townspeople become violent psychopaths. The sheriff David Dutton, his wife and some other unaffected people try to escape that disaster. On the same time, David tried hard to figure out why it happens. They could have chance to survive as long as they have to kill others. They come across kinds of dangerous obstacles to live. Not only do those infected townspeople want to kill them, but also the official army try to stop them escaping.

Opinion:
The reason why I want to watch it is that I thought it was a horrible movie like Dawn of Dead. However, they seem alike but there are some differences. First, the people in this movie are not dead. They just like cannot be controlled by themselves. In addition, they don’t eat people. The last but not least, they still remain consciousness in their mind after they are contaminated. I basically believe this situation will occur in reality because that toxin is made by Army military to use when having war.
